In May 2009 SWaMP2008 co-ordinated a competition asking for schoolchildren aged 8-14 years old to come up with a name for the Waste Infrastructure Project.
A number of innovative suggestions were made but the final name was created by Anna Marley, a student of St John the Baptist Primary School, Portadown.
Following agreement from the SWaMP2008’s Joint Committee the Project was then officially christened C.E.L.L (Cleaner Environment Less Landfill) in June 2009.
